Wired systems run cabling to each sensor and tend to be the more robust, tamper-resistant option for new-build work or a full retrofit where cabling is practical. Wireless systems use radio-linked sensors, which means far less disruption fitting them into an existing property, particularly useful where cabling would mean lifting floors or chasing walls.
We assess your property and recommend whichever suits it, being upfront about the pros and cons of each rather than defaulting to whichever is easier for us to install.
How we approach a burglar alarm installation
We start with a free site survey, walking the property to identify entry points, vulnerable areas and how the space is used day to day, including whether pets are present. From there we agree sensor positions, zoning and whether bell-only or monitored suits you, before carrying out the installation to the manufacturer's specification.
Once fitted, we set the system up, test every sensor and zone and run through operation with you, including arming, disarming and what to do if a false alarm occurs, before we leave the job.

How much of the existing wiring and hardware can stay in place has a big bearing on the final cost.
